Our 2017 Proprietary Red Blend is an ideal pairing with one of my favorite Hanukkah treats: Brisket. If you make Brisket the way mama used to make it with tomatoes, onions, and a bit of rosemary then you will find no better wine to enjoy alongside it. With notes of cassis and raspberries alongside tomato leaf and coffee bean, you’ll find yourself furtively reaching for your glass after every bite, and savoring the warm glow it adds to your festive, holiday spirit.

You don’t have to reinvent the wheel when you think about pairing with your Thanksgiving turkey. Everyone knows Pinot Noir is the go to wine of choice. But in a world with so many Pinots from which to choose, what do you pick? For us, it’s the 2017 Platt Vineyard Pinot Noir. Platt is considered one of the best sites for Pinot Noir in all of California, as it produces wines of a more Burgundian character. The bottling from Crescere evokes ideas of the holidays as you first stick your nose in the glass with notes of cranberry, clove and a delicate smell of anise. And it’s the perfect wine to slowly unwind with throughout your meal as it keeps opening and giving the longer you let it breathe.

Let’s not lie to ourselves. While turkey and ham are lovely and are supposed to be the star of the table, we all know that the best part of the holiday meal are the SIDES! With it’s elegant balance of both richness and refreshment, it stands up to your potatoes, however you prepare them, and then cleanses your palate so that you’re ready for more. And if you’re in love with your turkey, it plays well with that too.

We’ve always been partial to sweet potatoes on our holiday table in our home. We do them up in plenty of different ways: with butter, honey and lime, or with a reduction of maple syrup and orange juice. They never disappoint. And our favorite thing to drink with it? The 2018 Ritchie Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from Crescere. With it’s notes of meyer lemon, peach, and ginger it makes for an unforgettable pairing.
