Sauvignon Blanc

RITCHIE VINEYARD, RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY

Hints of the Tropics emerge, giving off papaya, kiwi, and green guava, but the wine also plays to a more savory expression with clay, white pepper and dried oregano merging with the fruit for an intoxicating aroma. The palate gives us green apple, quince, lemon and lime zest, along with fresh tarragon and a mineral tone of wet river rock. The texture is both rich and oily, while still being bright and zippy, making for an inviting combination. More Details >

Incredibly expressive notes of Kaffir lime and fresh squeezed pink grapefruit are the first thing you sense quickly followed by an undercurrent of cantaloupe, honeydew melon, creme fraiche, thai basil, sweet almond and hints of hazelnut. The palate offers up orange blossom, beeswax, wildflower honey on the front, but quickly follows through on the palate with everything sensed form the nose. Generous yet racy and bright. More Details >

Platt Vineyard Chardonnay

SONOMA COAST, SONOMA COUNTY

This vintage of this wine express more boldly than previous years without losing its trademark freshness and raciness. Notes of nectarine, pear and melon are mixed with thai basil, acacia, lanolin and wet stones that rise from the glass upon first inhaling it. On the palate, we find more citrus with orange and lemon underlined by hazelnut, fresh button mushrooms and basil. The longer the wine is open the more the fruit moves to the back and the wine becomes more savory. Finish is shale and toasted nuts. More Details >

This wine makes us think of a cold, wet spring drive on the California coast as soon as we dip our nose in the glass. You’re immediately hit with sea air and wildflowers as you take your first whiff, quickly followed by Anjou pears both fresh and slightly stewed. With your first sip you find the crisp, refreshing taste of the sea and a long, savory finish that makes you want to linger—as you would with your favorite book. More Details >

Platt is considered by many to be the greatest Chardonnay site in California and produces fruit that can be put up against great white Burgundy. The nose opens with notes of cantaloupe, honeysuckle, orange blossom, wet stone and tinges matchstick reduction, lichen, and lemon curd. The palate follows through offering generous fresh persimmon, apricot, nutmeg with a flinty backbone underscored by notes of fresh flaky pie crust. It is a wine of both precision and generosity which is perfect to enjoy now or can be cellared for years to come. More Details >

Platt Vineyard Pinot Noir

SONOMA COAST, SONOMA COUNTY

More boisterous in this vintage than previous years, the wine has a heady aroma of mulberry, blueberry, plum and pine, opening up to notes of rose petals and carnations with a tinge of wet gravel eventually giving way to cinnamon and ginger. Spring jumps from the glass, giving you a mix of wild berries—mulberry, cranberry, and strawberry—married with blood orange as you first take a whiff. The wine begins to open up as it breathes to show notes of rose petal, tarragon, and fresh oregano, eventually giving way to undertones of fresh leather and flint. It’s a wine that’s immensely enjoyable on its own, but makes you dream of all the fun dishes you can cook alongside it. More Details >

Less than three miles from the Pacific Ocean Pinot Noir from the Platt Vineyard tends to be more Burgundian in character than almost any other site in California.  The nose leaps from the glass with boysenberry and a melange of peppercorns (black, white, green, pink) giving way to tones of red plums, redwood forest and wet clay, star anise and slight hint of sandalwood and cedar. Once you dive into the palate, you’ll find an initial burst of strawberry leading to darkened raspberry, a touch of cranberry. The pepper tones soften and give way to notes of an herb that feels like a baby of sage and rosemary with a hint of mint, all backed by bits of sweet hay, laurel, and fresh potting soil. The tannins are soft, but still present and offering a decent amount of grip making it a wonderful food wine. This wine is lithe, poised, and precise – like a ballerina frozen in motion. Open and decant for an hour (or two) today or set aside in your cellar for a few years to truly see all that this wine has to offer. More Details >

Estate Syrah

REYNOSO ESTATE, ALEXANDER VALLEY

Black, blue and boysenberries marry with fresh, sweet bay leaf, tarragon, white pepper and undertones of beef tartare are what you first notice as you inhale. As it opens notes of violet, pie crust and tinges of clove and vanilla unfold as well. The palate leads with more savory notes of iron ore, soy sauce, menthol and clove, while all the fruit is still present in the back seat. The tannins are very pretty – present yet soft and luxurious feeling like a suede jacket you’ve worn for years. And the finish lingers with notes of blueberry, vanilla, and pie crust.  More Details>

We’re so happy to have this wine back this year, after using all our Syrah for blending in 2017. There’s not a lot of it, but what there is, is delightful. The nose is dark and brooding at first just hinting at what’s lurking underneath. Slowly it opens up, showcasing bits of blackberry bramble and blood orange with whiffs of rosemary and garrigue. The palate follow through, dense and chewy, with earthy tones of clay and volcanic rock and silt. In addition to the notes from the nose we also see hints of a fig and olive tapenade, with fresh bay leaf, and cardamom on the finish.  More Details>

Estate Proprietary Red Blend

REYNOSO ESTATE, ALEXANDER VALLEY

The first vintage not to be lead by Cabernet and yet this wine is super dark, but not brooding. Notes of plum and blackberry marry with earthy tones of fresh tilled soil, tar, and granite and undertones of sweet tobacco and faint hint of basil and vanilla showing up after it’s opened up a bit flowing into expressions of lilac, apricot jam, fresh raspberry and a tinge of cooked wild rice. Intoxicating to say the least. The palate opens to blackberry, tobacco, plum skin, balsamic and fresh tomato. Tannins feel supple and leathery. More De

A beautiful blending of blue and red fruits: concentrated strawberry, red cherry, blueberry, sweet basil, dried bay leaf, violet, hints of black pepper, a sweet, umami-like tomato paste. As it breathes black pepper comes more and more forward. On the palate, everything on the nose carries through, though with a pronounced underlayer of fresh turned earth. This smells and tastes like summer at its peak when all the fruits vegetables are giving you their all. More Details >

True to this hillside location in Alexander Valley, this assertive wine reveals deep ruby red in color and ascends with aromatics of rose petal, black raspberry, expanding to crushed rock and herbal tea. Defining characteristics from the CJ block reveal undertones of dark fruit wrapped around the core of black currant, savory herb, and a slight umami sensation that engages the energetic tannins. As the mouthfeel expands, lively acidity initiates the wine towards a generous mid-palate and lengthy graphite laced finish. 96+ Points Jeb Dunnuck. More Details >

Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

REYNOSO ESTATE, ALEXANDER VALLEY

Intriguing, with notes of fig, black cherry and plum, underlined by fresh-tilled mulch, pink peppercorn and seared steak all melding together in a dark, dense intriguing package. The palate follows with the fruits married to cedar, fresh rosemary, sweet tobacco, green tomato, and a tinge of balsamic reduction. The tannins are grippy without feeling too young, rather they grab you and pull you in, and are balanced by mouthwatering acidity. A wine to ponder over. More Details >

Broad, big and bold; this wine is not shy. It showcases fig, blackberry, blueberry, plum, cigar leaf, sweet red bell pepper, cocoa powder, violets, and lilac. Every time we turn to the glass we find more. On the palate, it’s dense and meaty, with brooding tannins. Fresh cracked black pepper comes to the forefront along with rocky, granitic soil. The wine gives us more and more the longer it is open. We highly recommend decanting at least 1 hour prior to when you’re ready to drink it.

From its alluring deep garnet to its expressive aromas of dark fruit and violets, this wine is endowed with refinement and definition by sourcing from the first rate sites within our hillside vineyard. The choicest site within our hillside vineyard, the Lydian block provides boulder like geometric tannins and wide shoulders upon entry. A core of succulent dark plum and black currant cover the palate with harmonious accents of tobacco and gun powder that embrace the medium-long finish across fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity. 97+ Points Jeb Dunnuck.
